Animal Rights Activism Month – Chapter 1 – INTERNATIONAL CUBE DAY 3th NOVEMBER 2018.

Pod organizacijskom kapom Zagreb Animal Savea prvotno je za studeni isplaniran Tjedan aktivizma za prava životinja – radionice, bdijenja, Cube of Truth te naravno druženja s prijateljima aktivistima. S vremenom se Tjedan aktivizma za prava životinja, na sreću svih prisutnih aktivista, pretvorio u Mjesec aktivizma za prava životinja. (English: Organizers from Zagreb Animal Save had a plan for organizing an Animal Rights Activism Week in month of November - workshops, vigils, Cube of Truth and also social events with friends and activists. At the end, that plan evolved in Animal Rights Activism Month.)

Kroz nekoliko sljedećih članaka provesti ću vas kroz sva događanja vezana za prava životinja koja su se odvila u studenom ove godine. (English: With the next few posts I'll lead you through all events related to animal rights that happened in November 2018.)

Prvo moram spomenuti INTERNATIONAL CUBE DAY koji smo mi, ali i aktivisti za prava životinja diljem svijeta, proslavili 03. studenog 2018. godine.

Nakon fotografiranja ispred Markove crkve, spustili smo se do Trga Bana Josipa Jelačića gdje smo zatim održali još jednu Kocku istine (Cube of Truth). (English: After taking this photo in front of Saint Marko's church we went to Ban Josip Jelačić square and had another Cube of Truth.)

Začetnik Kocke istine (Cube of Truth) je globalna organizacija Anonymous for the Voiceless. Kocka istine je statična demonstracija slična umjetničkom performansu koju izvode aktivisti za prava životinja pod maskama držeći transparente i laptope na kojima se prikazuju snimke vezane uz otkrivanje istine o eksploataciji i nasilju vršenom nad životinjama.

Cilj Kocke istine je prolaznicima bolje približiti samu ideju veganstva i prava životinja. Kroz njihove vlastite odgovore i zaključke cilj je dovesti ih do toga da veganstvo shvate ozbiljno te pokušaju primijeniti korake u smjeru oslobođenja životinja – korake prema veganskom načinu života.

Ovaj oblik uličnog aktivizma se smatra jednim od najefektivnijih. Izvješća s globalnih Kocaka istine govore da većina prolaznika zastane pogledati snimke i razgovarati s aktivistima izvan kocke.

(English: Initiator of the Cube of Truth is a global organization Anonymous for the Voiceless. The Cube of Truth is static demonstration similar to an art performance. Animal rights activists stand in a cube formation with Anonymous masks on their faces, holding "truth" signs and laptops with video recordings from farms, slaughterhouses and other industries. Recordings reveal truth about animal exploitation and abuse. The main goal of the Cube of Truth is to offer passengers a better understanding of the general idea of veganism and animal rights. Through their own conclusions and responses the goal is to make them perceive veganism seriously and try to adopt vegan lifestyle which is the only path to animal liberation. This form of street activism is considered to be one of the most effective forms. Tallies from global Cubes show us that most of the passengers are willing to stop, look at the footage's and talk to activists outside the Cube.)
